Strand Municipal Building is winter-ready

The City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys, accompanied by Facilities Management staff visited the Strand Municipal Building on Monday, 12 May 2025, to see its winter preparedness improvements that include the installation of a generator, on-going grass cutting, window cleaning and the installation of a fence in front of the building.

‘I was happy to meet the staff at the Strand Municipal Building and to see how they are preparing for the Winter Readiness Programme. I am pleased to see that the Facilities Management team are hard at work ensuring that a visit to City buildings is as pleasant and productive as possible for all our residents. It also gave me an opportunity to discuss issues with members of the public and to see what improvements are being made. This oversight forms part of ensuring that we are building a City of Hope for all our residents,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
